Cedar Spring Motel is a loud rock n roll band that expresses their love for the genre by putting on an unforgettable show. Young neighborhood friends Cameron Cerant, Liam Godden and Jake Dunn have a distinct gritty sound that leaves you wanting more. For road trip sing-alongs – Yelling and shouting – Sweating and bleeding. They are ear piercing rock n roll.
Their debut-song rips and breaks everyone in half (really, it’s a heavy song you should listen to!), that’s why wanted to ask them some questions.
What is your all-time favorite song?
Well, I like tunes with sleezy guitar, big ass drums, and catchy melodies. But there’s too many of those floating around town. I don’t know, maybe Tiny Dancer by Elton John.

Which song is perfect for a Road Trip?
Refer to the previous question aha. Again, anything with a melody that can be belted out is perfect for a ride along. A favourite of ours when we’re on the road is 500 Miles by The Proclaimers.
To which song do you like to clean?
What? I mean honestly I used to get made fun of by my family for brushing my teeth listening to “Party in the USA”. But it’s the perfect length to get a dentist approved cleaning.
What’s the perfect song to wake up with?
Well, if you’re waking up super hungover… it better be something like Tal Bachman’s “She’s So High”. And if you’re not hungover “Detroit Rock City”.
What’s your favorite artist from your home city?
There used to be a band called Teenage Kicks from our hometown. Never got to play with them but man nobody else sounded like that live from around here.
Which artist do you think is too underrated and which one is overrated?
The Beatles. They are so overrated that people have started to take them for granted and have forgotten about their music which is why they are also the most underrated band. If you go back and listen to all those albums you understand what all the hype was about. And it’s because they were the best.
If you could be one artist for a day, who would that be?
Johnny Cash because he’s dead and it would be cool to see what that’s all about.

What’s the best song to make love to? (…to ask someone out?)
If you’re like me, you are going to need more than one song. So you are going to wanna drop the needle and listen to “Moondance” by Van Morrison front to back. Happy Moondancin baby!
What’s the most beautiful lyric you’ve ever heard?
“Well they’re sorting through what’s left of you and me, paying yard sale prices for golden memories”. It is a lyric from a country we tune that we covered once. It’s about a family splitting up and having a yard sale to get rid of the old shit.
At which place would you love to play a concert?
Somewhere across the pond. We’ll be over soon to share pints and stories with you guys. Cheers from Canada.
