Maris is het pseudoniem van Mariske Broeckmeyer, ze is afkomstig uit Leuven en studeerde vorig jaar sound design in Reykjavik. Daar nam ze haar debuut solo plaat op waarna ze zich vestigde in New York. On Gods and other Things kwam uit in September op RAT Records van Teun Verbruggen en werd gemixt in the Greenhouse studios van Ben Frost in Reykjavik. Een plaat waarin ze vragen stelt over deze wereld.
Wij waren wel onder de indruk van Maris, zo straf zelfs dat we onze vragen in het Engels stuurden. Nu ze klinkt wel internationaal dus het is voor iedereen wat wils dan maar!
What is your all-time favorite song?
Ravel – piano concerto in G major, 2nd movement.
“All-time” is a challenging concept but I guess this one would pass as an all-timer.
